Hmm.. What to write, what to write...
I heard a snow storm is on the radar. noooooo
I have had a cold the past week, but that's really not worth blogging about.
Well, I just realized the cafe is about to close and Buzzbee is closing up shop so I better make this quick.
Random things I've been up to in the past weekish.
-Reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
-Dreaming about writing a children's book. I have a great idea in my head.
-Dreaming about making a cartoon. I might try it out.
-Dreaming about making a fun dance/lip sync video
-Practicing Piano
-Laundry
-P90X
-Watching the Investigation Discovery Channel with Buzzbee
-Playing Euchre
- Making Cards
- Wishing I just stuck with crocheting instead of learning to knit.. which is becoming frustrating
- Dreaming about WARM WEATHER
-Thinking about snowboarding
-Wishing my feet were smaller so I could borrow Buzzbee's mom cross country skis.
-Reading the book of Hosea with Buzzbee
-Reading The Love Dare with Buzzbee
-Practicing photography
- Looking for apartments
-Praying lots and seeing our prayers being answered!! Buzzbee's job!
- Praying for immigration stuff and trying to be patient while waiting.
-Falling in love with my dear hubby more and more everyday. It's incredible
That's all I have time for now. Will post again soon!

Book Review: This Is Your Brain In Love by Dr. Earl Henslin
This Is Your Brain In Love by Dr. Earl Henslin I received this book free from the publisher through the BookSneeze®.com in exchange for my honest opinion and review on the book.
The title itself explains that the book describes what your brain would look like when you're in love. This is what I expected anyways. There was a chapter or two going into the scientific explanations of what your brain would look like when in love. However what the book is really discusses is 5 love styles; the scattered lover, the Over-focused Lover, the Blue Mood Lover, the Agitated Lover, and the Anxious Lover. With 5 different tests, he helps you to identify what type of love style you are, and ways to improve for a healthy marriage which includes taking care of your brain. No one has a perfect relationship and we can all improve our marriages even small steps to understand each other helps and this book is one way to do that.
What I liked about the book: It is an enjoyable read. I honestly couldn't put it down. I read it in two days. It is very informative and presented in clearly with real life examples. I enjoyed reading the stories and found them all very interesting.
What I didn't like about the book: I am nervous that some people may take the tips in the book and self medicate when they should really see a doctor. Dr. Henslin talks a lot about brain scans and supplements and it seems that he is trying to "sell" them in the book. Also, it seems to suggest that you have an "imbalance" and I fear that one who reads this might self diagnose their self with a problem.
Overall, I would give this book 4 stars our of 5. : )
DISCLAIMER: I received this book free from the publisher through the BookSneeze.com book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.

Exciting News!
There is no denying God has answered our fervent prayers for a full time job for Buzzbee!
I cannot express how thankful we are for the opportunity Buzzbee has been given and we praise God for his goodness!
Now we are continuing to pray for the immigration process for me and that we would get the interview notice soon and the interview would go smoothly and I would be accepted and given permission to work in the US! Please pray with us.
It is so exciting to see where God is leading us.
In other news. I have just finished reading This is Your Brain in Love by Dr. Earl Henslin.
I will be posting a review of the book on Friday. See you then!

Baby Sprinkle for Sister in Law.
Last weekend I hosted a baby sprinkle for Angie! (sister in law).
It was a ton of fun planning what games to play, how to decorate and what to cook.
I forgot to take pictures of the party so I stole some from Angie's facebook. :)
We started with lunch which consisted of chicken salad sandwiches, coffee, punch, butternut squash soup, cupcakes and melanie's chocolate chip cookies!
I got the butternut squash soup idea from my mom who makes it a few times during the cold winter months. In my opinion it is a great soup for winter and one of my favs!
After lunch Angie opened gifts while I passed around yarn and scissors. Everyone guessed the circumference of Angie's belly. Cristy won that and I had Lavender bath soaps etc for the winners of all the games.
My gift for Angie was from Seren Fach Boutique. Four little flower clips that attach to a stretchy lace headband.
After gift opening we played a couple more games. The game of things with a baby spin and during the party there were a couple words that we were not allowed to say. Cute and Baby. Three clothes pins were given to each guest and if someone heard you say one of the words the person who said the word would have to give a clothespin to the person that heard them. It was VERY hard especially when Angie opened all the cute clothes and all you wanted to say was OOO how CUTE!
And that is about all.

Butternut squash soup
From My Mom's Kitchen
(Skinny "cream" Soups) becuase they don't have heavy cream:
1/ Combine one each chopped onion, carrot and celery stalk in large pot with 2 cans (10oz)
chicken broth and 3 cans water. Bring to boil and cook 5-10 minutes until tender.
2/ Add 4 cups chopped veggies, 1/2 cup Minute Rice, salt and pepper to taste and 1-2 tsp nutmeg. Cook over medium heat 10-15 minutes or until veggies are tender. Pour in 1 can of milk.
3/ Puree soup in batches using blender or food processor and return to pot and gently heat on lowuntil warm. Makes 4 serving size 1-1/2 cup size.

My nails are too long to type a lot.
I need to trim my nails. I like them long but it is becoming harder to type.
I am getting really excited about a lot of things!!
Angie's baby shower this weekend which I am hosting! I will get to see some friends I haven't seen in a while.
Then biometrics a week from tomorrow! Which means another step closer to being able to work!
And work! I am SO excited to get a job!! SO excited!! I am also SUPER excited about being able to go home once I have the interview in Detroit! hopefully by the end of next month! I haven't been home since the End of August! And it's my birthday in exactly a month!
I am also very excited to see where God is taking us and will have us do. This year is going to be full of changes and our lives will start to take shape!

Christmas Highlights.
It's been a while but I will try to post at least once a week for now since it is a bit more difficult without reliable internet access.
So.
The Christmas season has come and gone and I will share some highlights.
I tried uploading pictures yesterday on blogger but it didn't work. I will try now.
I am having troubles uploading more pictures at this point. So more to come hopefully later!
Buzzbee and I had a wonderful Christmas! His gift to me other than a very nice fuzzy pink housecoat and a few other thoughtful gifts was a beautiful heart pendant necklace.
"Alternating blue and white topaz flow sweetly down the side of this 10K white gold heart pendant, highlighted by sparkling diamond accents. Delicate and feminine, the bright stones increase in size along the heart's curve, celebrating the growth of love over time." From the Zales website.
And Buzzbee picked it out all by himself. I love it! I wear it everyday.
It's so true too. My love for Buzzbee increases everyday, just as the stones do in the necklace. I love him more today than yesterday but less than tomorrow.
Another exciting gift I bought with some of the money my mom and Alph gave us for Christmas is The MacArthur Study Bible ESV.
It came in the mail today and I am SOOOO excited about it. My Bible was getting VERY worn, as many of the pages are loose-leaf now. Buzzbee and I are getting into the habit of studying in-depth the word of God and I know this is a great study Bible.
So tonight we are coming up with some sort of plan for daily study. Any suggestions?
Are you studying a particular book?
Reading through the Bible?
Any tips?
I included a link to the Bible I bought but I got it from Christianbooks.com and found a code for free shipping over 25$. so it was a GREAT deal!
Today- Buzzbee and I recorded our first "rap" song. haha.. a mini version but I laughed pretty hard. When we finish a song I will definitely post a video. Buzzbee made a riff on garageband and yes, we made it into a hip hoppy song. It was so fun!
We also made a "newscast" the other day with our new video camera we got for Christmas.
Tonight we are watching this.
Buzzbee borrowed these movies from Seth. Actually Seth brought them over voluntarily for Buzzbee and now I am subject to watching them. Thanks so much Seth.
Last night we watched this.
Some great moments from the movie Commando starring the one and only Arnold Shwarzenegger. Actually watch this movie trailer.. It makes me laugh.
So.

I made this for nephew Drew! |
This is the upcycled hat I made for my handsome husband. I made it out of tshirts and nice warm fleece inside. I made it a bit big.. but I know for next time. |
I would put this picture up near the one that is similar but I can never drag the picture's up near the top. It's kind of annoying. I hope blogger fixes that sometime. |
Christmas Cookies! I loved making the angels. |
The blue angel is the one I made for Buzzbee |
